Jacob Johnson, son of Troy and Lori Johnson of Bradford, was awarded the 2018 Garrick S. Anderson Scholarship for $500.
Johnson has been accepted to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to pursue a degree in the field of engineering technology.
During his high school years, Johnson maintained the honor roll while participating in varsity soccer as varsity captain, MVP and a participant in the District 10 Region 5 All Stars. His successes in the classroom, machine technology and soccer has led him to pursue the field of engineering technology at Pitt-Bradford and to play for the Pitt Panthers soccer team.
The Garrick S. Anderson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2013 in memory of a young man who never met a stranger, had a passion for anything automotive and loved to play soccer. Jacob Johnson exemplifies these qualities.
