PUNXSUTAWNEY — The 18th annual Opening Hearts for Make-A-Wish Motorcycle Charity Run and Auction will be held July 7 at the Emporium Vets Club.
The event benefits Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Formerly known as the Dream Makers for Make-A-Wish, the Opening Hearts for Make-A-Wish event will be held at the Emporium Vets Club, located at 427 East 3rd Street. The motorcycle ride will take place in Cameron, Potter, Elk and McKean counties.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the run kicks off at noon. Following the run, riders will return for dinner provided by the VFW. Registration is $20 per person and includes a live auction, T-shirt, food and door prizes. All street vehicles are welcome to enter the race.
Last year’s event raised $23,280 and since its launch in 2000, this event has raised more than $170,000 for Make-A-Wish. All proceeds will be donated to help grant wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses.
