    Oswayo Valley recognizes seniors

    SHINGLEHOUSE — Thirty-four members of the Oswayo Valley Middle/High School Class of 2018 were recognized at the annual Senior Recognition Program on May 30, 2018 at the middle/high school.

    Special awards and scholarships were presented to selected seniors by representatives of several scholarship programs. Over $200,000 in scholarships sponsored by local organizations were made available to the Oswayo Valley graduates.

    Scholarships and awards were presented to Emilee M. Andress: Academic Wall of Fame in the area of art, Academic Wall of Fame in the area of music, Academic Wall of Fame in the area of learning support Community Blood Bank distinguished donor, Oswayo Valley Music Boosters Scholarship-Alternate, and United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Music Award.

    Gage M. Babcock, Academic Wall of Fame in the area of Physical Education, American Legion Post 530 Military Award, Matthew W. Simpson Military Scholarship, and United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.

    Shayla M. Bickel: third honors, American Legions Post 530 Scholarship, Community Blood Bank Distinguished Donor, Eureka Chapter #52 Order of the Eastern Star Scholarship, Gas Field Specialists Scholarship, Joe Lundy Memorial Scholarship, The Norton Scholarship Trust, Oswayo Valley Music Boosters Scholarship, Oswayo Valley Sports Boosters Scholarship, OVTA Award, Chris Shall Memorial Scholarship, Sharon Lodge #598 F & AM Scholarship-Alternate, Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance Association, Scholarship-Special Award, SYSBA Scholarship-Alternate, and United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.
