SMETHPORT (EC) — Charles “Chuck” Lathrop, United States Navy, retired, will deliver the Memorial Day address at 10 a.m. Saturday at the John Berg Memorial Post #976, Crosby American Legion, Route 46 South.
Following this, the services move to the Crosby Crossroads Bridge where naval heroes will be honored. The final stop will be at the Colegrove Cemetery for a brief ceremony.
After these activities, light refreshments will be served at the post home.
