Cindy Woodring, a member of the Smethport Women’s Club’s scholarship committee, center, congratulates Autumn Stiles and Kalyn Kost, each of whom received a $500 scholarship from that organization Wednesday evening during a dinner meeting at the Smethport American Legion. Autumn, who graduated from Smethport Area High School in 2015, received an associate degree in psychology from Jamestown Community College and has completed one semester at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford where she studies criminal justice. Kalyn, a member of the Class of 2018 at SAHS, plans to study mechanical engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla.
