And your king and queen are… to be announced on Friday at Bradford Area High School’s annual prom.
The elegant event, with “Neverland” as the theme, will be hosted 8 to 11 p.m. in the gymnasium. Six couples are campaigning for the titles of king and queen: Regan Dolan and Danny Manion, Mackenzie Hartle and Austin Jadlowiec, Kaitlyn Shields and Gavyn Larson, Tori Moonan and Alec Kuzmeskas, Sophia Oliver and Hunter Sostakowski, and Destinee Deitz and John Luke. Maya Ervin and John Eakin are Miss and Mr. Bradford, respectively.
Regan Dolan is the daughter of Amy and Alex Dexter and Mike and Anita Dolan. Dolan plans to attend the University at Buffalo for theater performance and media studies. Danny Manion is the son of Dan and Carla Manion. Manion’s plans include attending St. Bonaventure University for business administration and baseball.
Mackenzie Hartle, daughter of Leslie Cobb and Dan Hartle, plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for nursing. Austin Jadlowiec also plans to attend Pitt-Bradford for math and computer engineering. He is the son of Nikki Wiseman and Brian Jadlowiec.
Kaitlyn Shields is the daughter of Dave and Marie Shields. Her future plans include attending Slippery Rock University for exercise science. Gavyn Larson, son of Zach Weaver and Lindsay Larson, plans to attend the University of Houston for business.
Tori Moonan’s plans include attending Jamestown Community College for early childhood education. She is the daughter of Todd and Kelly Moonan. Alec Kuzmeskas, son of Kristina Luzzi, also plans to attend Jamestown Community College for criminal justice.
Sophia Oliver is the daughter of Mike Oliver and Jill Parisella. Her future plans include attending Slippery Rock for exercise science. Hunter Sostakowski, son of Mike and Sue Sostakowski, will attend Pitt-Bradford for mechanical engineering.
Destinee Deitz will attending Pitt-Bradford for civil engineering. She is the daughter of Nicole Baker. John Luke is the son of Deneen Smith and John Luke. He plans to attend college.
Maya Ervin (2017-18 Miss Bradford) will attend Mercyhurst University for archaeology. She is the daughter of Bradley and Terri Ervin. John Eakin (2017-18 Mr. Bradford) is the son of Holly and John Eakin. He will attend Slippery Rock for exercise science and play football.
For students who plan to attend prom, tickets are $25 each.
