CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health encourages national board certification for all its nurses and this year celebrated Certified Nurses Day™ on Monday, March 19.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to recognize our nurses for demonstrating professionalism and dedication to quality patient care by earning certification in their respective specialties,” said Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer Hazel Robertshaw, who is certified in executive nursing practice by the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
According to Robertshaw, as health care becomes increasingly complex, board certification of nurses plays an increasingly important role in the assurance of high standards of care for patients and their loved ones.
