    Pennsylvania Big 30 Game coaches

    The coaches representing Pennsylvania for the Big 30 Charities Classic Football Game were announced yesterday. Check back tomorrow to see the coaches for team New York.

    Head Coach: Todd Silfies
    Kane Area High School
    Todd and his wife Dana and three  children William 6, Audrey 5, and Ada (four months) reside in Kane Pa. Todd has six years in a head coaching position and eight as an assistant. His teams have compiled a 63-12 record in six seasons as their head coach. (.840 winning percentage). His team has made six consecutive PIAA District 9 Championship Game appearances, four AML league Championships (2013/2015/2016/2017), four undefeated regular season championships in (2013/2015/2016/2017), and three consecutive PIAA District 9 Championships (2014/2015/2016). Todd was named AML Coach of the year in 2013/2015 and 2015 Olean Times Herald Big 30 Coach of the year. In addition, he was named the 2015 PIAA District 9 (D9Sports.com) Coach of the Year. Todd currently works as a Social Studies teacher at Kane Area High School (12 yrs.). His hobbies include enjoying outdoors with family and friends, kayaking, hunting, fishing and spending time with his kids. Todd also played in the Big 30 game in 2002 and was an assistant in the 2011 Classic.

    Assistant: Royce Novosel-Johnson
    Kane Area High School
    Royce and his wife Katie and two children Everett 3, and Calhoun 1, reside in Kane Pa. Royce has four years experience as an assistant coach. He was the Defensive Backs and Running Backs coach at Kane in 2017. Royce is the owner of NoJo Forest Creations LLC (two years), and Novosel Family Partnership (six years). Royce was a three- year Varsity Letterman in football at Dartmouth College. He serves as the Vice President of the Kane Area Revitalization Enterprise, (KARE), and is CEO and co-founder on the newly formed Logyard Brewing LLC.

    Assistant: Jim Sirianni
    Kane Area High School
    Jim and his wife Cathy reside in Kane, Pa. They have one son who is 23, Dominic. Jim has been the Head Track and Field Coach at Kane for 22 Years. He has also been an assistant football coach for 22 years, and Track and Field Coach for 19 years. Jim is a Social Studies teacher at Kane Area High School (22 years). His hobbies include, weightlifting and reading.

    Assistant: Tyler Smith
    Kane Area High School
    Tyler and his wife Katie have five children: Maya 11, Isaiah 9, Ellie 6, Elaina 3 and Lyla (six months). Tyler has six years of coaching experience as an assistant. He Coached in six straight District 9 Championships, won three District 9 Championships as Offensive Coordinator, and was part of the Kane Staff that won 60 plus games in six seasons as a coaching staff. Tyler taught for five years at Kane Area High School. Tyler was Named Big 30 Player of the Year and played in the Big 30 Charities Classic in 2003. Tyler is looking forward to being part of the game again as well as representing Pennsylvania.

    Assistant: Christopher W. Barber
    Kane Area High School
    Christopher and his wife Sarah and step-son Lucas 13, Brinley 3 and Brooks three months reside in Kane Pa. Christopher has eight years coaching experience as an assistant. Presently, he is the Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach at Kane High. He has coached two all-state wide receivers, and coached in six straight District 9 Championship games, winning three. He also coached in 4 AML Championship games, as part of the Kane staff that went 63-12 over a six-year period. Christopher is a Psychology Technician at FCI McKean (five years). He was named Officer of the Month, Officer of the Quarter and Employee of the Quarter. His hobbies include Being with his Dad, hunting, fishing, coaching his step-son in sports and radio broadcasting basketball and baseball games, and being a PIAA Umpire.
