Two Bradford residents are in McKean County Jail after allegedly assaulting each other during an argument on Tuesday.
Vanessa A. Harvey, 20, and Skyler S. Smith, 26, both of 50 Oakwood Ave., were jailed on $25,000 bail each after being arraigned before District Judge Richard Luther.
Harvey is charged with strangulation, a second-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary charge. Meanwhile, Smith is charged with simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor, and harassment, a summary charge.
According to the criminal complaint, Bradford City Police were called at 1:50 p.m. Monday to their residence for a domestic dispute, which occurred over accusations that Smith cheated on Harvey.
Throughout the day, Smith had allegedly been grabbing Harvey by her arms and hair, and he shoved her and hit her in the head; she had a bloody lip and facial injury because her cell phone got knocked into her face when he tried to take it away from her, court records indicated.
Also, Harvey is accused of choking Smith and causing a two-inch laceration on Smith’s forehead with a frying pan, according to court records.
They are set to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
