    Big 30 game adds more names

    The annual Big 30 Charities Classic Football Game added several more names to the rosters of both the Pennsylvania and New York Teams.

    The following players will be suiting up for the Keystone state later this year:

    Dylan Close

    Otto-Eldred Jr.-Sr. High School

    Height: 6’ Weight: 170 Lbs.

    Offense: WR-Defense: SS

    Dylan plans to attend Slippery Rock University and double major in Business Management and Finance. He is a member of the National Honor Society at O-E. Dylan is a two- time AML All Star, and Big 30 All Star. In Basketball, he was named to the NTL All Star team. Dylan states it has been a goal of his to play in the Big 30 game through his football career. His most memorable moments were winning the AML North title two years in a row. Dylan’s hobbies include, sports, wakeboarding, skiing, and hanging out with friends. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is JuJu Smith Schuster of the Steelers.

    Max Cowan

    Ridgway High School

    Height: 6’4”- Weight: 240 Lbs.

    Offense: LG- Defense: DE

    Max plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology and major in Forestry. Max is a two-time AML Allstar, a two-time Tri-County All Star, A Big 30 All Star, a two-time D-9 Champion and was named to the District 9 All Star Team twice. Max feels it is an honor to have been selected to play in the Big 30 Charities Classic where very few players get a chance to participate. His most memorable moments were winning his 1st and 2nd District 9 Championships. His hobbies include working on trucks and chainsaws. Max states his favorite team is the Oregon Ducks and his favorite player is Marcus Mariota of the Tennessee Titans.

    Anthony Smith

    East Forest High School (Kane Co-Op)

    Height: 5’11”- Weight: 250 Lbs.

    Offense: OL- Defense: DL

    Anthony is looking to get a degree in Criminal Justice at IUP, then go on to apply to the police academy. Allplay left guard for the Pa squad but will play anywhere they need him. His most memorable moment playing football was the hard- fought D-9 Championship game against Clarion. His hobbies include lifting, hunting, fishing, basketball, and hanging out with friends. Anthony’s favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is the Steelers Ryan Shazier.

    Carter Julian

    St. Marys Area High School

    Height: 5’10”- Weight: 160 Lbs.

    Offense: RB/KR- Defense: OLB/SS/FS/LB

    Carter plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. He will study Nursing with a career choice to become a Flight Nurse. He was his team’s defensive and overall MVP in football in 2017. He is looking forward to one last chance to play the game he spent countless hours on with the people who care about the game. His most memorable moment playing football was a 46 yard, touchdown run he made for his first varsity touchdown. Carter’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, baseball, football and basketball. His favorite NFL team is the Green Bay Packers and his favorite player is the Packers Eddie Lacy

    Jacob Zimmerman

    Johnsonburg Area High School

    Height: 5’9”- Weight: 165 Lbs.

    Offense: RB- Defense: OLB

    Jacob’s desires are to start a Logging Business. Jacob is an AML All-star and was a member of the Ridgway-Johnsonburg D-9 Championship teams in 2016/2017. He was also 4th in districts in wrestling in his freshman year, and 6th in districts in the Javelin in his junior year. Jacob says playing in the Big 30 game is an honor and is looking forward to playing one last game. His most memorable football moments were the two D-9 Championships they won in 2016/2017. His hobbies include riding dirt bikes, building trucks with friends and playing sports. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is Ryan Shazier.

    Philip Shipe

    Johnsonburg Area High School

    Height: 5’8”- Weight: 190 Lbs.

    Offense: C- Defense: T

    Philip plans to attend Penn Tech for Welding. He is both an AML and Big 30 All-Star. His is President of the Vocational Agriculture program at his school. In addition, he is a member of the National Honor Society. He is looking forward to playing in the Big 30 game because it will be his last chance to play football. His most memorable football game was scoring two defensive touchdowns in one game. Philip’s hobbies include hunting and fishing. His favorite NFL team is the Los Angles Chargers and his favorite player is the Hall of Famer Dick Butkus.

    Angelo E. Costanzo III

    Kane Area High School

    Height: 5’7”- Weight: 170 Lbs.

    Offense: WR/RB/PR- Defense: S

    Angelo plans to attend Robert Morris University and pursue a degree in Forensic Accounting, and a minor in Business Management. He is a three time AML All-Star and a District 9 All-Star in 2015, and a Big 30 All-Star in 2017. He is a member of the Kane Wolves AML and District Championship teams in 2015/2016/2017. Angelo is a member of the PA. Academic Gold Team in 2015/2016. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. Angelo is looking forward to finishing his goal of hard work to achieve his selection to the Big 30 Charities Classic. His most memorable moment in high school football, after 3 Championships, was to take the field on senior night with his best friends. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, playing sports, playing cards and hanging out with friends. His favorite NFL team is the Philadelphia Eagle and his favorite player is Darren Sproles.

    The following players from New York will also participate in the Big 30 Classic: Leland John (Salamanca), Jake Giardini (Allegany-Limestone), Devin Foster (Randolph Central School), Braden Siebert (Salamanca), Emery Marsh (Pioneer), Parker Cole (Bolivar Richburg Central School), Scott O’Donnell (Cattaraugus Little Valley High School).
