KANE — A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail, charged for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Saturday at his Jefferson Street residence.
Jordan Michael Reams, 20, of 43 Jefferson St., downstairs, is charged with strangulation, a second-degree felony; simple assault, domestic violence; and harassment, a summary offense.
According to court records, at 2:24 p.m. Saturday, police were called to Reams’ residence on a report of a domestic disturbance. When police arrived, the female victim and another person were in the residence, and told police Reams had grabbed her by the throat, threw her against the wall, struck her in the face and throat, and then got on top of her and choked her, the records allege.
Reams was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Engman and remanded to jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. He will appear in Central Court on Thursday.
