Charges against a Ridgway man accused of driving a stolen vehicle with a minor passenger were bound to McKean County Court at a hearing Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Cameron J. Abbey, 20, of 261 Grove Ave., is charged with receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony; corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary charges of operating a vehicle without a valid inspection and driving an unregistered vehicle.
According to court records, on Jan. 5, Ridgway Borough Police contacted Bradford City Police to inform them that Abbey stole a car earlier in the day in Ridgway, and the car may have been heading to 2 Orchard Place, Bradford.
The car was a silver 2008 Subaru Impreza with a strawberry sticker in the back window and an expired inspection sticker, court records stated. Also, Abbey allegedly had a juvenile female passenger in the car.
A Bradford officer pulled the car over in the Tops parking lot and found Abbey and the girl, court records indicate.
Abbey is free on unsecured bail.
