A Kane man is facing additional criminal charges after appearing for a preliminary hearing Monday on a second-degree misdemeanor simple assault charge.
A hearing for Kyle J. Cool, 28, of 811 Welsh St., was held Monday before District Judge David Engman.
New charges of strangulation, a second-degree felony; and terroristic threats and unlawful restraint, both first-degree misdemeanors, were filed by the district attorney’s office, court records stated. All charges except for the terroristic threat charge were bound to McKean County Court.
According to the criminal complaint, at 8:51 p.m. Jan. 2, Kane Borough police and Kane-based state police were called to a domestic assault at 811 Welsh St.
