An Allegany, N.Y., man was hospitalized Monday morning after his vehicle collided with a barrier near the Tunungwant Creek.

According to Bradford police, Stephen Cipot Jr., 69, was exiting Forman Street off of the Route 219 ramp when his vehicle malfunctioned while trying to break. The vehicle accelerated towards the Tunungwant Creek and collided with a barrier, stopping the vehicle.

Police said Cipot suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center via ambulance. The vehicle sustained damages and was towed on the scene.
