SMETHPORT (EC) — A vacancy exists on Smethport Borough Council.
In the 2017 general election, Councilman Ryan Herzog, who won the two-year and four-year terms, opted to accept the four-year seat.
Residents who wish to be considered for the two-year term should submit a letter of interest to the borough office at 201 W. Main St.before 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.
Council will consider the appointment at their regular monthly meeting later that day.
