BROOKVILLE — The Bradford High swim team was in action on Monday against Brookville. The Lady Owls earned a 123-58 victory, while the Bradford boys fell 90-60.
The Bradford girls swept every event except diving, with nine different Lady Owls earning at least one first-place finish. Emma Webster led the way with a quadruple, earning wins in the 200 IM, 200 free relay, 100 backstroke, and 400 free relay.
Taylor Lucco (200 medley relay, 50 free, 200 free relay) and Mackenzie Lucas (100 butterfly, 200 free relay, 400 free relay) both earned triples. Abby Szoke, Andrea Pecora, Emily Reitler, and Lauryn Kahle added doubles.
On the boys side, Karl Gangloff earned a triple with wins in the 200 IM, 100 butterfly, and 400 free relay. Danny Fedak (50 free, 400 free relay) and Frank Colosimo (diving, 400 free relay) added doubles.
“Both our boys and girls teams had a great meet,” coach Chelsea Schwab said. “We had some strong swims from a lot of our kids. We had to fill in with some absences, and they did a really good job of adapting to that.”
The Owls will face St. Marys on Thursday at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
