COUDERSPORT — Two people are facing allegations that they were growing marijuana at a Ulysses Township property.
Kenneth E. Ruppert Jr., 55, and Pamela A. Ruppert, 58, both of Coudersport, were arrested Wednesday on the allegations, Coudersport-based state police reported.
According to police, on June 28, they investigated a report that marijuana plants were being grown on a property in the 200 block of Rocky Lane. During a search of the property, police allegedly discovered nine marijuana plants.
Both are charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Kenneth Ruppert is charged with an additional count of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony.
Charges were filed Tuesday, and they were arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Christopher Kalacinski. The Rupperts are free with non-monetary conditions set for their release.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 16.
