Port Allegany woman sentenced for obstruction allegations

SMETHPORT — A Port Allegany woman accused of aiding a man who was wanted by police was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court.

Crystal M. Moore, 32, received a sentence of seven days to 18 months in McKean County Jail with credit for seven days of time served for a charge of obstructing the administration of law/other government function. Moore pleaded guilty Dec. 7 to allegations that between Oct. 26 and 29, police were searching for Christopher Link, and she said she would contact them if she found him; he was later found to be with her.

Also in court, Armando L. Aponte, 36, of Bradford, will serve 45 days to six months in McKean County Jail and one year of probation for a charge of simple assault. Officials indicated on Thursday that the charge was for assaulting a woman. President Judge John Pavlock noted at the hearing that Aponte had nine prior simple assault convictions — the most he ever remembers one person having. However, Aponte’s employers attended the hearing to say that he has proven to be a reliable and trustworthy employee and are even providing anger management counseling for him.

Robert M. Johnson, 31, of Bradford, will serve 18 months of probation for charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and a summary charge. On Nov. 30, Johnson pleaded guilty to allegations that on Aug. 26, he was yelling in the street while intoxicated after Bradford City Police told him to stop. He struggled when officers tried to arrest him, and they had to use a Taser to get him to comply.

Jonathan K. Larson, 23, of Bradford, will serve one year of probation and pay $190 in restitution for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. He pleaded Nov. 9 to allegations that on July 7, he took $190 in cash from Arby’s restaurant.

Sean Thomas, 28, of Springfield, Ohio, will serve one year of probation for charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge.

Heather L. Yohe, 24, of Bradford, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program and a concurrent probation term of one year for charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge.

Aaron T. Quinn, 33, of Derrick City, Gregory L. Knowlton Jr., 33, of Bradford, and Alysha M. Dahlke, 26, of Bradford, will each serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and summary charges.
