    Owls wrestlers defeat Oswayo Valley

On a night where neither team was at full strength, the Bradford High wrestlers were able to defeat Oswayo Valley 60-24.

Thursday’s match featured seven forfeits, with three going to the Owls and four going to the Green Wave.

“We figured we’d be wrestling more matches, but they’ve been bitten by the injury bug even worse than us,” Owls coach Jamie Miller said. “It worked in our favor and we were able to move our lineup to be able to get back the points we were giving them.

“I told the guys that I expected falls tonight and they went out and did it.”

The Owls JV team (2-0) won 60-6. Brett Thompson earned a victory by pin, while the rest of the matches were forfeits.

Bradford (1-1) will travel to Tunkhannock for a two-day tournament on Wednesday and Thursday.
