RIDGWAY — One person was injured in a fire Wednesday in Spring Creek Township.

According to state police fire marshal Cpl. Greg Agosti, the fire happened at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday at 31094 Portland Mills Road.

Joshua Hicks of Ridgway, one of the home’s residents, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by ambulance for treatment, Agosti reported.

Hicks shared the home with Ricky Hicks, Lisa Hicks and Desiree Vires; two of the occupants were home at the time of the fire, Agosti indicated.

He said the blaze caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the two-story wood-frame structure.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the state police and the Ridgway Fire Department.
