RIDGWAY — A Weedville man has been jailed for allegedly engaging in inappropriate conduct with four juveniles at his residence between October 2015 and October 2017.
Ridgway-based state police said Eugene Thomas Lalley, 68, of Popular Road, is charged with four counts each of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with minors, third-degree felonies; and indecent assault and indecent exposure, first-degree misdemeanors.
Police allege that Lalley engaged in unlawful contact with the minors while they were in his care, and that none of the juveniles were related to him.
Police were contacted by officials with the St. Marys School District after the victims had made statements to classmates during the school day about what was happening, and an adult staff member overheard. Police were notified and an investigation was launched, according to state police.
Lalley was arrested and arraigned before on-call District Judge Barry Brown, and remanded to Elk County Prison in lieu of $30,000 monetary bail.
The investigation is continuing.
