Bradford man receives jail term for forgery, theft

SMETHPORT — A Bradford man was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a term in McKean County Jail for charges of forgery and theft by unlawful taking.

Jonathan G. Piller, 45, will serve six to 23 ½ months in jail and pay $780 in restitution. He pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to allegations that in 2015, he forged four business checks, receiving $905. Officials in court indicated he was homeless at the time and stole the checks from a doctor who was providing shelter for him.

Also in court, David A. Cabisca, 22, of Bradford, was sentenced to serve three to 11 ½ months in McKean County Jail with 220 days of credit for time served and one year of probation and pay $510 in restitution for charges of simple assault and resisting arrest and three summary charges. On Aug. 31, he pleaded guilty to allegations that on Aug. 26, 2016, while under the influence of alcohol, he tried to hurt one person, had physical contact with a second and punched a third; he damaged a window and door, causing less than $500 in damage; and tried to prevent a police officer from arresting him, by pulling his arm away.

Tammie M. Antonuccio, 38, of Kane, will serve one to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail with credit for eight days of time served for charges in two cases. She’s charged in one case with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and in the second case with recklessly endangering another person. She pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to allegations that on Jan. 9, 2015, she delivered 22 methylphenidate pills; then, on April 20, a 14-month-old child who Antonuccio was supervising wandered outside alone; a neighbor found the child in the rain wearing nothing but a dirty diaper after the child had been outside for 30 to 40 minutes.

Zachery S. Malobicky, 19, of Kane, will serve 45 days to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail for charges of obtaining possession of a controlled substance through misrepresentation and possession of a controlled substance. On Aug. 31, he pleaded guilty to allegations that on Feb. 15, he illegally acquired 82 alprazolam pills by altering a doctor’s prescription.

Danyelle L. Cabisca, 25, of Bradford, will serve seven to 18 days in McKean County Jail with credit for two days of time served and 18 months of concurrent probation for retail theft charges in five separate cases.

Joseph M. Irons, 32, of Smethport, pleaded guilty to charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, recklessly endangering another person and four summary charges. According to Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade, on July 12, Irons drove under the influence of a combination of controlled substances while he had a 6-year-old child and 7-year-old child — who were not in booster seats — in the vehicle; his vehicle struck an unattended vehicle, and he failed to report the crash. He will be sentenced Nov. 16.

Robert H. Pearsall, 28, of Smethport, will serve two to six months in McKean County Jail with credit for 60 days of time served for a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Terry L. Waid, 37, of Lewis Run, will serve six months of probation for a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and summary charges.

The following people entered pleas in recent weeks in McKean County Court. All will be sentenced Oct. 19.

Kenneth R.F. Bell, 21, of Bradford, pleaded guilty Sept. 28 to charges in two cases: a charge of simple assault in one case and charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in a second case.

Patrick A. Shaw, 23, of Bradford, pleaded guilty Sept. 28 to a charge of theft from an automobile.

Jamie D. Reedus-Gilyard, 25, pleaded guilty Sept. 28, to two counts of simple assault.

Robert L. Albany, 52, of Rixford, pleaded guilty Sept. 28 to a charge of simple assault.

Michael J. Bennett, 25, of Bradford, pleaded guilty Sept. 28 to a charge of simple assault.

Jason H. Saltsman Sr., 45, of Roulette, pleaded guilty Sept. 28 to a charge of simple assault.

Eugene Kontz of Bradford pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to a charge of disorderly conduct.

Also in McKean County Court recently, on Oct. 2, Amie J. Alcock, 35, of Bradford, was sentenced to 11 to 23 months in McKean County Jail and 18 months of probation for charges of criminal trespassing, terroristic threats and simple assault.
