Two facing charges from alleged June burglary

A preliminary hearing for two people facing burglary charges from an alleged June incident has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 25.

Yvonne Lee Banks-Bush McClellan, 30, of 584 Route 219, Limestone, N.Y., and Ryan McClellan, 31, of 8 Center St., Mount Jewett, are both facing charges from the incident.

According to court records, on July 18, Michael Butters contacted state police to report that while he was incarcerated, Yvonne McClellan went to his Lafayette Township residence and “cleaned him out.”

He said she had a spare key, and took about $4,000 worth of items, including PlayStation 3 games, a 115-piece socket set, coffee maker, dog crate, television, iPhone 4, charger for a phone, clothing, cash, hair clippers, and even a mattress and box springs, court records state.

Police said she was seen in a social media photo with some of the alleged stolen items in the background, court records allege. Ryan McClellan helped her move the items out of the residence, police said.

Yvonne McClellan is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; theft and receiving stolen property, second-degree felonies; and criminal mischief, a summary. She is free on $2,000 unsecured bail.

Ryan McClellan is charged with theft, a third-degree felony. He is free on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Hearings for both will be held before District Judge David Engman at 1 p.m. Sept. 25.

Bradford man jailed for alleged theft of lotto tickets

A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly taking snacks and lottery tickets while he worked at a convenience store.

Robert Allen Baize, 27, of 33 Leland Ave., is charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft by deception, third-degree felonies.

According to court records, in July, the manager of the Uni Mart on Chestnut Street had contacted police, telling them an employee had taken snacks and lottery tickets from the store while he was working.

Police said he took a total of 384 lottery tickets, 62 of which were cashed in for a total of $1,014 in cash prizes. The total value of the items taken was $3,015.32, court records state.

Baize was arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.

Bradford man jailed for alleged brick toss

Allegedly throwing a brick through someone’s window has landed a Bradford man in McKean County Jail.

According to court records, Joseph Dante Reap, 23, of 1433 South Ave., is charged with recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor; disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, third-degree misdemeanors; and three summary offenses.

At 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, a police officer was flagged down on Rochester Street by people saying Reap threw a brick through their window. Upon further investigation, police learned that Reap had stopped his car on the road, got out, approached a house and allegedly threw a brick through the window, striking a person inside in the back, court records state. He allegedly drove away at a high rate of speed, nearly striking several people, a telephone pole and several parked vehicles, the records read.

Reap was arraigned Thursday before Cercone and remanded to jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.

Kane man charged for alleged theft

A Kane man is facing theft-related charges for allegedly using another person’s bank card without permission.

Luke Wolfe, 19, of 105 Clay St., is charged with a total of 16 misdemeanor counts, half of which are access device fraud, while the other half are theft.

According to court records at District Judge David Engman’s office, Wolfe used another person’s bank card on several occasions to withdraw about $600 in total, all without permission.

Wolfe is free on $2,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
