ELDRED — The Eldred World War II Museum will hold its monthly program on Saturday evening.

Director Steve Appleby will tell the story of America’s first major ground offensive in the Pacific. This month marks the 75th anniversary of the epic struggle known as the battle for Guadalcanal and its important airfield. He will share stories, artifacts and a short video highlighting the story of Pennsylvania native and Medal of Honor recipient Mitchell Paige.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited.
