KANE — One count of burglary filed against a Kane woman was withdrawn, while the other counts against her in the case remain.
Tahnee N. Girts, 26, waived a preliminary hearing in the case Wednesday before District Judge David Engman.
Girts is charged with criminal trespassing, a third-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; harassment and disorderly conduct, both summary charges, court records stated.
According to court records, on July 4, Girts entered a Kane home without permission, struck a female numerous times in the head and, when the alleged victim fell to the floor, kicked her several times.
Girts is free on $5,000 unsecured bail.
