The calendar may say July, but organizers of a certain event are already thinking ahead to September.
Organizers for Bradford’s Pumpkin Fest and The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Alumni and Family Weekend say everything is “falling” into place for another great event, which is set to run from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 in downtown Bradford. Live music, a beer tent and food court will be available from noon to 8 p.m.
There is still time for vendors — food, craft and otherwise — to sign up for booths.
To be included on the Pumpkin Fest map, registrations must be submitted by Sept. 1.
“Sign up now to secure your spot,” organizer Fred Graham said. “The excitement is building and you do not want to miss out on one of the best fall events in McKean County.”
The Pumpkin Fest coincides with The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Alumni & Family Weekend, which is no coincidence. “This is the third year we have collaborated with Pumpkin Fest to make this a weekend to remember, with so much happening on campus and downtown Bradford, it seemed like a natural fit to combine forces and make this the best event it can be,” said Alumni Weekend organizer Karen Costello-Pecht. “We all want to show off Bradford to visitors, family and friends. Downtown Bradford will definitely be the place to be on Sept. 30.”
Vendors will line the streets of downtown Bradford during the event, which also includes rides, games and entertainment
One of the reasons the event has been a growing success is the support from local businesses. This year, organizers expect more than 5,000 people to take part in festivities.
“We, again, have Northwest Savings Bank to thank for being the signature sponsor for this great event,” Graham said.
