ERIE — Venture Forthe Home Care opened its doors in Erie, bringing its long standing excellence in service to 12 counties of Pennsylvania.
Venture Forthe Inc. has been providing personalized licensed home care services since 1997 to Western New York, as a local family owned and operated company.
Since that time Venture Forthe Inc. has grown to not only provide personal care aide services, but also clinical services, service coordination and day programs. Today they are one of the largest agencies, offering comprehensive services for those who are aged or disabled in multiple counties of New York. They help to ensure that if an individual wishes to remain independent, they are able to provide the services that will empower them to do so.
“We are so excited to bring our outstanding standard of care to Pennsylvania communities,” said director of Pennsylvania operations Melanie Booth. “For 20 years, Venture Forthe has provided aged and disabled individuals the opportunity to remain independent in their communities, we are excited to begin providing Pennsylvanians the same level of service that New Yorkers have had all these years.”
What is different? Venture Forthe Home Care will be providing personalized care services for those who are Medicaid eligible through the PA Waiver Programs, as well as private care and veteran services.
“We first speak to the service coordination agencies to learn what the needs of the clients are,” said assistant director of patient care services, Michelle Newman. “Then we meet with the client and their family to develop a personalized care plan, ensuring that all their home care needs are met, from help around the home to personal self-care.”
Venture Forthe direct care workers are trained to meet the needs of clients through an inclusive paid hands-on training program.
“Each of our direct care workers are trained by our registered nurses in proper care of our individuals,” said Newman. “We ensure that prior to sending them into the field, we give them the tools to be successful and keep our clients safe and well cared for.”
Beyond hands-on training and personalized service, they also offer access to 24-hour on-call employees, whether it is a scheduling concern or care concern.
Venture Forthe Home Care will be providing services to those living in the Northwest Region of Pennsylvania though the Aging, CommCare, OBRA, Independence and Attendant Care Waivers, along with private services and Veterans Homemaker Services.
