ELYSBURG – Cox recently competed in the 16-yard championships at the Pennsylvania State Trap Shoot in Elysburg. Cox was shooting in his first state shoot and shot 199 out of 200 birds for a 3-way tie in Class B. One of those scores was the female champion. Cox lost the shoot-off, but was the runner-up in the men’s class. “I would like to thank God for giving me the resources and talent to compete at this level,” Cox said. “I also want to thank fellow shooter and past Pa. champion, Bruce Edgreen, for all the knowledge, skills and encouragement he has shared with me for past four years.” Cox has been competing locally for the past three years.
