The Zonta Club of Bradford awarded two scholarships to local students Kamryn Piscitelli and Dylan Giordano.
They were honored at a luncheon on Wednesday at Togi’s Family Restaurant in Bradford.
The Ruth B. Fisher Scholarship for $1,000 was awarded to Kamryn Piscitelli. She will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and major in exercise science/pre-physical therapy.
At Bradford Area High School, Piscitelli was a letter winner on the volleyball team and was named to the District IX All-Star team. She also was a basketball letter winner. Her other activities included Model UN, prom committee, homecoming court and National Technical Honor Society, in addition to being on the distinguished honor roll. She is a volunteer at SMART at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
The recipient of the $500 Zonta Club of Bradford Memorial Scholarship is Dylan Giordano. She will attend the University of Pittsburgh main campus and major in pre-medicine.
Giordano has been active in National Honor Society, Advisory Committee and volleyball; she was Miss Bradford and on the distinguished honor roll. In addition, she is a Horatio Alger National Scholar, a recipient of Zonta’s Amelia Earhart Service Award and a Studio B Dance Academy assistant teacher. She is an associate at Ott & McHenry.
