Several promotions were announced recently at American Refining Group Inc.’s Bradford refinery.
Amy O’Neil has been promoted to Buyer II, effective June 19. O’Neil has been with the company since July 2003. Some of her new responsibilities include obtaining materials cost-effectively from suppliers consistent with standards of quality, reliability and safety; studying market trends, interviewing vendors and recommending supply sources; analyzing quotations and preparing orders; maintaining records; and generating reports.
A graduate of Bradford Area High School, O’Neil is on track to complete in January a Bachelor of Science degree in operations with a concentration in supply-chain management from the University of Phoenix. She lives in Bradford with her husband Ray.
Cassidy Corah was promoted to chemist I at the quality-control lab in May, after three years with ARG. As a chemist I some of Corah’s key tasks are performing instrument repair and maintenance, verification and calibration; preparation of standards; supporting continuous improvement and product compliance; and processing customer samples.
Corah completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 2013. He resides in Lewis Run.
Bob Colts Jr. was promoted to lead technician at the quality-control lab in May. Colts began his career at ARG in 2013 and was promoted to technician III in 2014. As the lead tech, Colts will perform advanced methods and maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and repair. A thorough understanding of the refinery’s processes and products is required to prioritize work within the laboratory.
A Bradford resident, Colts also completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
