Bradford Area High School senior Victoria “Tori” Autieri is the 2017 recipient of the Carole Moore scholarship.
This award was established in 1980 in memory of Carole, who was a junior at the time, by her parents. It is given annually to a student who best exemplifies several characteristics, including courage to set high standards, achievement to the best of his or her ability, love of learning and mutual respect for others. Selection each year is made by a panel of educators.
Autieri meets all of the above requirements. She has been deeply involved in DECA, both serving as an officer and placing first in the Pennsylvania State Conference, which qualified her for the nationals in California. She served as head drum major of the Bradford High Marching Band and was also a member of Key Club and National Honor Society.
As a volunteer in the community, she was active in local blood drives, Kiwanis Kapers, Evergreen Elm and assisting with her church’s Vacation Bible School.
Autieri is the daughter of Camila and Victor Autieri. She will attend Grove City College with a major in accounting and finance and a long-term goal of meeting the requirements to become a CPA.
