Heart By Heart featuring original Heart members Steve Fossen and Michael Derosier will make a tour stop in Bradford at 7:30 p.m. Oct.4.
The show will open the 34th season for the Bradford Creative & Performing Arts Center (BCPAC). The performance is scheduled for the Bromeley Family Theater located at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
In 2013, bassist Steve Fossen and drummer Michael Derosier were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as original members of Heart. That ’70s-era lineup brought to the world the massive radio hits “Magic Man,” “Crazy On You,” “Dreamboat Annie,” “Barracuda,” “Kick It Out,” “Heartless,” “Straight On,” “Dog & Butterfly,” “Even It Up” and more.
Now Fossen and Derosier are back together with Heart By Heart, a new band featuring powerhouse vocalist Somar Macek, multi-talented guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Lizzy Daymont, and legendary Seattle guitarist Randy Hansen. Honoring the magic and power of the music of Heart, this incredible lineup considers it their responsibility to bring the songs to the stage in their original form.
According to Fossen, “We don’t see it as our task to modify or update these classic tunes that Heart fans love and have listened to all these years.”
After every show, fans express their appreciation for Heart By Heart’s ability to bring back the memories by playing the songs as written and recorded. Having Derosier and Fossen on stage gives Heart By Heart an authenticity no other Heart Tribute can match.
Tickets are priced at $39 each and will be available for season subscribers on July 10, and for the general public Aug. 23. Additional information will be forthcoming at the BCPAC office 814-362-2522, or online at www.bcpac.com.
