During the past I murdered another person, I robbed a bank, I molested a child, I sold drugs, I smoked tobacco and drank alcohol. I broke the speed limit while driving and jaywalked and shoplifted. I am also under eighteen years of age.
Because I intentionally did one of all of these things, I broke the law of the nation, state, city of whatever the legal area that applied to that particular offense. I stand guilty before the court and am judged accordingly and pay whatever penalty is passed down to me.
All the crimes mentioned before are fantasy, but just to show that crime has a penalty as stated by the law. Yet we see in the news in our newspaper, television, internet, Facebook, Twitter and other electronic media, that rioting at college campuses, civic marches that turn violent into riots and smashing, burning and looting, shooting and other signs of civic disobedience.
People who have broken the law in some manner in these cases do not receive any or very little punishment. Illegal immigration also is a crime that comes under this “no penalty” way of thinking. Let them stay is now the norm. What those who say that have no empathy for those thousands of people who are waiting and have been for years for some to be admitted legally.
My question is to those who commit crimes and those that overlook their acts of any type is this: “What do they understand about the term ‘illegal?’”
God help us.
