The Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department held its 35th Annual Awards Banquet Saturday evening at the Interstate Parkway Fire Station. Master of Ceremonies Alex Kulish welcomed invited guests from local fire and police departments.
President Andy Eliason introduced the administrative officers and Fire Chief Dan Burkhouse introduced the current-year line officers. Burkhouse and Eliason presented service awards to eight members — Jack Carns for 40 years; Ed Hayden, 25 years; Tim Burkhouse, 15 years; Larry Smith, Bill Webster, Zach Webster and Andy Eliason, 10 years; and Justin Reams, five years.
Training awards were presented by Asst. Chiefs Bob Eliason and Tim Burkhouse. Members receiving the training award included Jay Bradish, Dan Burkhouse, Tim Burkhouse, Nick Colley, Alex Coppella, Andy Eliason, Shawn Galbraith, Zach Howard, Alex Kulish, Harry Lamielle, Matt Mongillo, Dan Robinson, Larry Smith, Grant Smith and Bill Webster.
Steve Disney received the “For Service Above and Beyond the Call of Duty” award and Karen Disney received the social member special award.
Cpl. Greg Agosti, Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal, was the guest speaker for the evening. Fire Department Chaplain Robert Brest gave the invocation and benediction.
