Another pizza parlor is opening in downtown Bradford, and it’s a familiar favorite.
Domino’s Pizza is slated to reopen on the corner of Main and Pine streets, across from Veterans Square, at 4 p.m. Friday. But if the restaurant at 15 Main St. doesn’t get its health inspection completed on Thursday, restaurant owner Bill Parris expects to be back serving pizza and other items on April 10.
“I’m just happy to be open again, and I can’t wait to be open serving pizzas again,” he told The Era on Monday.
All in all, the menu will remain the same –– and will include, of course, pizza, as well as breadsticks, salads and other items.
But the new location will include indoor seating, with 15 seats and four tables, Parris said. The former location on Bolivar Drive had no indoor dining.
With the move, he said he projected that Domino’s would see a 20 to 30 percent increase in business, especially with the proximity to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
Parris said he is “very excited” about the new location, adding that “It’s been in the plans for a long time.”
Domino’s has been in the Bradford area for several years. The pizza establishment reopened at 30 Bolivar Drive in Foster Brook, the original Domino’s location, in 2012.
On Monday workers were moving in kitchen equipment to the new space. C.J. Wallace Engineering LLC of Bradford worked on the architectural plans for the space.
Parris is no stranger to the pizza business. In 1990 he began as a Domino’s driver, then worked his way up to being assistant manager and district manager. He also owns a Domino’s Pizza location in Olean, N.Y.
Meanwhile, Greg Ross, who owns the former Domino’s building, said previously that the location had been eyed by many companies, including pizza establishments.
