Gas prices in Western Pennsylvania fell by less than a penny this past week to $2.506 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
The national average price at the pump is $2.29 per gallon. This is the same price as compared to one month ago, but just fractions of a penny below one week ago and 25 cents per gallon more than the same date last year.
In Bradford, the average price last week was $2.415 per gallon. The highest reported averages in the region was $2.593 per gallon in Indiana and $2.595 in Jeannette.
The lowest reported average was $2.370 in Sharon.
Prices in much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast remain relatively steady on the week with Pennsylvania ($2.48) landing on the list of top 10 most expensive markets. Regional gasoline inventories remain low as the region continues to remove winter-grade gasoline from the system, according to AAA.
Pump prices in the region will likely begin to climb around April 10, when gasoline RVP in the New York market makes the official shift to summer-grade blends.
