Melanie C. Clabaugh, communications manager of Northwest Bank, has been named assistant vice president.
Shawn Walker, senior vice president, chief marketing officer, made the announcement.
In her role, Clabaugh manages internal, customer and marketing communications, public relations and the bank’s customer experience program.
She began her career with Northwest in 2013. Before joining the bank, Clabaugh worked ten years in community and economic development and higher education.
Clabaugh received her bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s degree in higher education management from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 and 2008, and is a graduate of PA Bankers’ School of Banking. She is enrolled in the PA Bankers’ Advanced School of Banking, and will graduate this summer.
Active in her community, Clabaugh is a member of Kane Borough Council, Kane Elks Lodge 329 and Tabor Lutheran Church. She is also a member of the Kane Area Revitalization Enterprise and Kane Area United Fund boards of directors and past member of the Leadership McKean Steering Committee.
Clabaugh lives in Kane with her husband, Phil, and children, Emma and Andrew.
