Northwest Savings Bank recently made a $20,000 donation to Beacon Light Behavioral Health System.
The gift was made toward a capital campaign to build a new children’s residence wing on the main campus located at 800 East Main St. Norm Strotman, senior vice president and John Marasco, both of Northwest Savings Bank, presented the check to Richard Seager, president and CEO of Journey Health System and Beacon Light.
“Northwest has made a donation to us each of the past several years,” Seager said. “A donation of this size really speaks to both the generosity of the bank in our community and their commitment to philanthropic support. This money will be instrumental in helping us provide an ideal residential setting for our children with special needs.”
The new wing is home to eight children who have complex mental health and physical health needs. Beacon Light provides these children with a warm and safe environment for these children who have had difficulty succeeding in other traditional settings.
