Shannon Marie Scott, daughter of Alan and Judi Scott of Lewis Run, and Aaron O’Toole, son of Karen Butler of Bradford and the late John O’Toole, were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2016, at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Bradford with the Rev. Matt Blake officiating.
Music for the double-ring ceremony was provided by instrumentalist Esther Painter and singer Katlyn Hillard.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore and ivory Kenneth Winston A-line gown made of lace, silky taffeta and English netting. Features include a soft sweetheart neckline with beaded trim, asymmetrical pleating on the bodice and lace applique from the waist down through the skirt. The pleated skirt has a semi cathedral train. The look was finished with a two-layer fingertip veil with beaded edges.
She carried a bouquet of red roses, purple zinnias, gold hydrangeas, sunflowers and yellow, orange and red gerbera daisies with fall leaf accents.
Sister-in-law Lauren Scott of McDonald served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Barbara Kidle, sister-in-law Jacqueline O’Toole, Katlyn Hillard and cousins of the bride Melissa Brooks and Kaylea Thresher.
Each female attendant wore a strapless apple red satin ball gown with a pleated bodice and carried a bouquet that matched the bride’s bouquet.
Brother of the groom Jeremy O’Toole of Titusville served as best man. Ushers were Kyle Swanson, Jibran Saleh, brothers of the bride Zach and Josh Scott and cousin of the groom Casey O’Toole.
Nephew Declan O’Toole of Titusville was the ringbearer.
A reception was held at the Premier Banquet Center in Olean, N.Y., with music provided by Scott Lockwood.
The couple has planned a honeymoon trip for this coming spring.
They live in Erie.
The bride graduated from Bradford Area High School in 2006, the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 2008 and Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy in 2013. She is employed at Expressions Salon & Spa in Erie.
The groom, a 2004 graduate of Bradford Area High School, received a bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 2009 and a master of business administration degree from Point Park University in 2011. He is the business manager for the Millcreek School District.
A bridal shower was hosted by the bridesmaids.
