COUDERSPORT — Julia Mackenzie Himes, daughter of Aimie Himes of Olean, N.Y., and Daniel Himes of Bradford, and Randall Thomas Kyser, son of Rob and Melissa VanHoutte and Rick and Gabrielle Kyser, all of Olean, celebrated their marriage with family and friends on Sept. 17, 2016.
Officiating was the bride’s aunt, Charlene Granger. The ceremony and reception were held at the Othmer Pond Estate in Coudersport.
The bride wore a handmade satin ivory gown from Barcelona and carried a handmade bouquet of purple peonies and lavender. The bridesmaids wore rich purple tea-length dresses with gold accents.
A black tie reception was hosted on the estate lawn under a pole tent with a lively dance floor. “All For You” by Sister Hazel played as the couple’s first dance.
Morgan Burdick served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katelyn and Paige Himes, both sisters of the bride; and Casey Konieczka. Emma Lou “Gigi” Granger of Allegany, N.Y., served as flower girl. “Tazz,” the newlyweds’ bunny, and “Sparta,” the family dog, took part as ring bearers. Rob VanHoutte served as best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Martinelli, the groom’s uncle; Daniel Braithwaite; Mark Braithwaite; Josh Hendryx; and Rick Kyser, brother of the groom.
The newlyweds traveled to Greece after the wedding for their honeymoon. The couple now resides in Rockland, Maine, where the groom is serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.
