People may feel a bout of deja vu this week
Rain showers are in store for the Bradford area throughout this week, but flooding is unlikely, said Pete Jung, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Bureau in State College, on Monday afternoon.
Today will be wet with half to three quarters of inches of rain expected to fall, Jung said. The high will be in the lower 40s, according to the weather service.
Rain is expected before 2 a.m. Wednesday, then scattered rain and snow showers are in the forecast, the weather service predicts. The low will be around 30 degrees. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible.
For Wednesday, scattered rain and snow showers are in the forecast before 8 a.m. Wednesday, then a chance of snow showers is expected, the weather service predicts. The day will also be cloudy with a high near 32 degrees, Jung said.
Wednesday night will be cloudy with a chance of snow showers and a low around 15 degrees.
A chance of snow showers is expected for a cloudy Thursday, with a high in the upper teens, Jung said. The same forecast is also expected for Friday, he said
Unless there is snow piled along roads, Jung said he doesn’t expect flooding. Some ponding could occur near storm drains that are built up with snow, for example, he said.
