Water line breaks in East Bradford late Wednesday

Bradford City Water Authority crew members were on scene of a water line break along Welch Avenue in Bradford on Wednesday night.

Authority executive director Steve Disney said that it appears that a 6-inch line broke, but he wouldn’t know for sure until the excavation was completed. The call about the incident came in around 7 p.m., and crew members were just starting to dig around 9 p.m. near Togi’s Restaurant at East Main Street and Welch Avenue.

About a dozen homes were temporarily without water as of around 9 p.m., Disney said.

More information was not immediately available.
