Santa Claus and Khia Pire lay next to Pire’s son, 9-year-old Ethan Fox, during a family Christmas party held for Ethan on Saturday. The gathering was organized early because Ethan suffers from a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma tumor, and the community stepped up to make the family gathering extra special. Family members made the journey from out-of-state to attend. A crowd of community members could be seen in front of Ethan’s home, some holding signs of encouragement for Ethan, as a Bradford City fire engine pulled up, lights flashing, along with two other department vehicles, carrying Santa Claus, an elf helper and gifts for Ethan and his siblings and cousins. Providing gifts were Keystone Powdered Metal and The Era’s Less Fortunate (ELF) Fund.
