RIDGWAY — A hunter from Kentucky died of natural causes while hunting Tuesday in Highland Township, Ridgway-based state police reported.
James Stephen Bacho Jr., 51, of 116 Hunters Hill Road, Alexandria, Ky., was found dead at 4:52 p.m. Tuesday in a wooded area on Forest Route 134 B off Maple Run Road, police said.
Police said they responded to a report of a deceased male in the spot, meeting with members of the Highland Township Volunteer Fire Department and EMS who were already on scene.
Police stated that Bacho died of “apparent natural causes,” and Elk County Deputy Coroner Frank Ferragine pronounced Bacho dead at the scene.
