Casey Graffius has joined the Hollenbeck Law Offices as an associate with the firm.
Graffius graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in May 2016, and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October 2016.
A 2009 graduate of Bradford Area High School, Graffius volunteered for Rebuilding Together and played baseball and football for the Bradford Owls. A letter-winner and captain of the Bradford Owl football team, he was selected to, and participated in, the 2009 Don Raabe Big 30 All-Star Football Charities Classic.
After graduating high school, Graffius graduated cum laude from Gannon University in May 2013 with a degree in legal studies and minors in pre-law and political science. While at Gannon University, he was consistently named to the dean’s list and received the University Scholars Award. Additionally, Graffius was a member of the Honors Society, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, served in the Student Government Association, was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and worked as a paralegal at Knox, McLaughlin, Gornall & Sennett in Erie.
During law school, Graffius served as a staff editor on the University of Pittsburgh Law Review from 2014-15, served as a managing editor on the University of Pittsburgh Law Review from 2015-16, and received the Dean’s Scholarship each year. He clerked at the criminal defense firm of Greenfield & Kraut and was a legal intern at Education Management Corp., working in the in-house legal department and focusing on contract review and compliance issues. Throughout his law school career, Graffius worked as a summer associate at Hollenbeck Law Offices, focusing on municipal law and general civil law issues. In addition to required courses, he took a particular interest in energy law (energy law and regulation, oil and gas law, and land use); business law (commercial transaction, secured transactions, and business organizations); elder law (elder law and estates and trusts); and mental health law.
In addition to the above areas, Graffius will also accept cases in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and general civil litigation.
