A Bradford man is facing allegations that he ran from police on Halloween morning after allegedly assaulting his mother.
Ryan Chandler Bodecker, 26, of 167 E. Main St., was arraigned Monday before Magisterial District Judge David Engman on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest and escape, all second-degree misdemeanors; and harassment, a summary charge, court records stated.
At 8:28 a.m. Monday, at Bodecker’s residence, he got into an argument with his mother, who was upset because he “brought another cat home,” court records read. During the argument, Bodecker allegedly grabber her by the throat and threw her into a wall.
Police arrested him for the assault allegations and escorted him outside. When they were outside alongside the patrol vehicle, Bodecker forced his way away from police, running about 75 yards before police forcibly took him back into custody, court records indicated.
Bodecker was committed to McKean County Jail in Smethport in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Nov. 10.
