Bradford motorists are paying an average of $2.305 a gallon for unleaded, self-serve gasoline this week, according to the American Automobile Association Fuel Gauge Report.
Elsewhere across the region, the average price for gas stands at $2.361 a gallon, while national prices are $2.224 a gallon.
AAA officials said pump prices have climbed higher as compared to the previous week, even though many states have switched over to winter blend gasoline and there remain abundant crude oil supplies. The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline moved higher each of the past seven days reaching Monday’s average price.
Monday’s average price is two cents more than one week ago and a cent more than one month ago. Despite the slight rise in pump prices, drivers continue to experience year-over-year savings with the average price about 7 cents per gallon less than the same date last year, according to AAA officials.
The following is a list of the average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas: $2.382, Altoona; $2.395, Brookville; $2.369, Clarion; $2.315, DuBois; $2.362, Erie; $2.376, Indiana; $2.350, Meadville; $2.388, Pittsburgh; and $2.362, Warren.
