ST. MARYS — A 40-person production crew and nearly 100 contestants from the 10th anniversary season of the popular FIREBALL RUN adventure-travel TV series were at Straub Brewery on Sunday, filming a Straub Beer-pairing challenge segment for the upcoming 2017 season.
While it was a closed set and the specifics of the Straub Beer challenge performed by the contestants is a secret for now, Straub Brewery is planning a 2017 premiere event for the general public when the Straub segment debuts. More details on that event will be released early next year.
“We were honored to be chosen as a filming location for Fireball Run, especially since one of the show’s overarching missions is to help find missing children,” said Straub Brewery President and Chief Executive Officer William Brock. “We had a lot of fun with this project and look forward to sharing Straub Brewery with the show’s national and international audience when our segment airs next year.”
The FIREBALL RUN Adventurally is the story of a legendary 8-day, 2000-mile life-sized, trivia pursuit road rally competition and unlike reality television, this is real. A total of 40 teams race to locate America’s most obscure places and historic artifacts, all while aiding in a massive awareness campaign called The Race to Recover America’s Missing Children. FIREBALL RUN is a mile-for-mile entertaining, thought-provoking and emotional journey, which inspires people to take the road less traveled.
The 26-episode streaming series can be seen in the U.S., and is also televised in foreign markets.
