The Bradford Family Center will offer a parent workshop on handling challenging behavior in 2- to- 8-year-olds dubbed the “Incredible Years,” starting on Sept. 19 at the First Presbyterian Church in the city.
The seven-week workshop will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays.
Organizers said parents will learn techniques for play, praise, redirection and limit-setting. The workshop is interactive, fun and an opportunity for parents to learn useful tips to keep their children engaged in positive activities, so that tantrums and negative behaviors are less frequent. Children can participate in an accompanying playgroup.
There is no fee for the course. Pre-registration is required.
