The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers, through its Northeastern Potter Economic Development Association fund, is seeking proposals from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations or charitable programs in the northeastern region of Potter County.
This includes Ulysses Township, Ulysses Borough, Harrison Township, Genesee Township, Allegany Township, Bingham Township and Hector Township.
Organizers said grants will be awarded annually on a competitive basis. The fund will be awarding a total of $1,200 in grants this year, possibly divided between multiple recipients.
Applications will be judged for enhancing the quality of life in Northeast Potter County. Planning, improved access, job retention, energy savings and enriched educational content could be examples of qualifying projects.
The mission of the Foundation’s support fund is to promote the economic health of northeastern Potter County and to foster economic development through education.

To apply for the competitive grant, pick up an application from the Northern Potter School District administrative office, Genesee Library, Ulysses Library or Harrison Township office. An application can also be accessed from the Community Foundation’s Facebook page or the “breaking news” tab on its website, www.twintierscf.org.
Applications are due by Sept. 14.
